stanley donwood, born dan rickwood, is an english artist most known for his work with the band radiohead. ever since 1996, he has collaborated to make all the album covers and artwork for the band. however, his work goes beyond simple album covers and inserts. He creates promotional materials and writes short stories revolving around specific radiohead releases. together, he and the band have created not only grammy-winning packaging of music material, but also a visual identity and emotional feeling that is the music.
